Q. When do I have to be at 新生迎新?
A. Orientation is mandatory for all incoming freshmen and is a part of the Brescia 101 course requirements. Incoming freshmen must be present from Saturday through Monday of 新生迎新 Weekend.
Q. What parts of 新生迎新 are mandatory?
A. All activities hosted from Saturday through Monday are mandatory, including both educational and social sessions. Each activity is designed to help new 学生 be as successful as possible during their first year in college, 课堂内外.
Q. If I have a job, do I have to miss work for 新生迎新?
A. 是的. Orientation is mandatory, as part of the Brescia 101 course requirements. Like any other class assignment, you must be present to get credit.
Q. 我是一个转学生. 入职培训是强制性的吗?
A. While Orientation isn’t a course requirement for 学生 transferring with more than 15 credits, it is still strongly recommended that you attend. It will give you the opportunity to acclimate yourself with your new surroundings, 了解其他同学, and learn about the resources available to you.
Q. If 新生迎新 is mandatory, do I need to register or sign up?
A. 是的. The registration process provides us with information we need to make sure you are scheduled for all activities and sessions, as well as have access to all the resources available that day. 登记 is available online, on the Orientation and New Students web page. We will also sent you a postcard reminder in the mail.
Q. I already registered for Orientation, but I need to change my registration information. 我如何更改这些信息?

Q. Can parents/family attend 新生迎新?
A. 是的，第一天，8月12日! We have planned sessions to help answer some of their questions about the important connection family members can have to the Brescia University experience. Parents and family will also have the opportunity to meet their student’s advisor, and learn about the BU 101 course experience their student can expect
Q. Is there a fee for 新生迎新, and what does it include?
A. 是的, there is a $250 student fee that is automatically charged to your student account and is included in tuition. It covers all of the costs (meals, materials, sessions, entertainment, etc.)。.
Q. Are meals provided during 新生迎新?
A. 是的. All of your meals will either be covered by your meal plan (if you are a resident) or by the 新生迎新 program fees.
